Peregrines again…

This was at tea time 3 little fluff balls, being fed so carefully by Mum with Dad watching… Hard to think they will grow to be the size of the adults …

Peregrines again

3 chicks are well and truly here …looking good 4th one will come soon…

What great parents these two are… every year it is so wonderful to see nature so close up.

This lunchtime Dinner has been brought by Dad and Mum gently feeds the chicks with Dad watching, then Mum flew off with the rest of food, and Dad came and sheltered them, Mum back now so although Dad was enjoying sitting she has now turned him out and is back on the chicks and egg once more…

Sole Bay Jazz with friends…

Another great evening of live music at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…with The Sole Bay Jazz Band and Friends…

Thanks to one and all… Some great playing as I said and some rather nice singing Tony P thanks.

We had the line up then half time in walked Ron and family so we had an added attraction!

Everyone played so good as always… a lot of talent for us to listen to, always amazing how no matter what line up they always seem to gel together.

A good raffle and thanks as always to those who give prizes to help with the kitty for the raffle and for my raffle ticket folders…We do appreciate you all digging deep for the raffle which helps to bring these talented folk to play for us…

Great crowd to support the band, and nice to see some of the regulars back, I am still rather bothered that some still seem to be off sick so if anyone looks in that knows what is the matter with anyone of them please get in touch. Brian (Ninja's Dad please contact me)

I also want to send our prayers and love to Simon Denny, who is in hospital at the moment not for long we hope, but all the gang and the band send their very best wishes to you Simon for a speedy recovery and get back to sing for us please. Sheila we send our love to you and the family as well …you are suffering at the moment and we miss you.

Heidi had a birthday party for one of her lovely children, hope you had a good time Zoe… so Jon spent the evening with us behind the bar, nice to see you Jon hope it was not too frantic as a good thirsty crowd…

Live Jazz!

Another great night of live music from the Sole Bay Jazz Band and guests at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham.

Every week the music is always very good but of late it seems to get better and better and different as well with  all the guests appearing, well done Alan for doing all the hard work of getting the band together every week.

A surprise but a good one as Ray came along to play the piano,  some great singing from Simon and everyone played so well… Craig with a nice long solo those drums had a beating…love the baritone sax Tim gets so many notes from that…such a deep sound, and Derek that tenor sax sounded rather smooth…nice bright outfit as well…Tony and Alan keeping the beat, so nice to see and hear Simon again a busy lad that one. So a great talented evening thanks to one and all…

A good crowd again, with a few new faces, so good to see…still some of the regulars not about, so hope those that are unwell will soon be with us again.

Thanks Heidi always that smile (and Happy Birthday to Luke) Thanks to my raffle ticket folders, and for those who brings me some prizes to help with the raffle you know who you are.

Thanks for digging deep for the raffle much appreciated of course it is essential to have that plus Jons help to get these talented musicians week after week, and nice to see the faces when some of those prizes are won!!! Tim does a good job calling the numbers when not every body is listening!  it is supposed to be his break but he really does not mind doing it! (I hope)

Always a lovely evening so many friends enjoying the music and some good laughs!

A few photos to show those not able to come along what they have missed!

Just also to add, good luck to all those running the London Marathon this Sunday especially Robin… another medal to add to the rest, thanks for the hugs!

Fan- Tas -Tic- Jazz…

What a night of live music a good crowd enjoyed at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last evening.

We always have a great time with live music every Thursday night with  'The Sole Bay Jazz Band and friends', but last night somehow it turned into an even more marvellous talented evening of great music.

A good crowd came along to enjoy the night, with a few new people looking in and what a night to hear the band… Some of our regulars were on holiday but some seem to have been ill rather a long time, hope you are all getting better and will come along and join the evenings again very soon.

Tim seemed to have endless little quips to tell us about the music and some which gave us a laugh… Playing as always so well clarinet/ saxophone and keeping the guys busy with different music! even tearing up some of Tony P's chords, so funny.

Ron playing again last night… he has been all over the world  playing saxophone/clarinet and we are so happy to see him every time as he is a brilliant player.

Tony P with the trombone playing up a storm for us and the vocals were great…

Ray on Piano and oh so good to see the cornet appear for a short time, those fingers were flying last night.

Alan who gets the line up together each week, playing guitar and banjo very upbeat.

Tony J that string bass certainly got a good work out and I got a smile for the photo…

Craig, well what can one say apart from he is the best drummer around, and we were in awe last night at how he played.

Then an extra …Ron and Michelle had company from America and what a treat…a banjo player  called Howard …with a great voice so he sat in on a few numbers, very impressed, especially as he only landed at the airport a few hours before, so thank you so much.

Heidi as always keeping everyone well wetted on the inside and with a great smile…

Thanks to my raffle ticket folders, who worked hard as "the boys" are on holiday!
Thank you all as well for digging deep for the raffle, we try to make the prizes good, but of course the money also goes to help top up what we get from Jon to get these fabulous musicians play for us each week. I think we would have had to pay a lot more to hear such talent as we did last night at any other venue.
So a few photos …

No wonder you were not at Jazz boys…
