The battery ran out on the camera, but did manage these three photos.

I really would have loved to have done a video  of some of the music.

My goodness everyone played their hearts out, and I hope the band appreciated the audience applause.

Kevin joined the line up for the first time at Ditchingham ( I kept being asked, when is he coming back again)… so come back soon Kevin …the guitar as you all know is one of my favourite instruments as both my boys have played for many years with the guitar, and Kevin showed how it can be played and sent the Pavilion into raptures…

As well as Craig on the drums with his 'wake you up magic drums'.

Tony Jullings on the Double Bass, Tim Clarinet/Saxophone…Ray trumpet, and keeping them all in line…So altogether they made up a truly magical night.

Tony P what a lovely change to see you playing and singing for us again, and how we laughed at some of the lyrics!!

Jenny gave us two songs, and gets more confident each time, we all admire you Jenny all you have been through and you can still get up there and have us in awe, well done.

Must mention Jon as well, who did a really busy night in the Bar area, well done Jon… Heidi, well we are looking forward to hearing some news!

Hope all those with colds and sore arms etc are feeling better for the night of fun.

Thanks

Sole Bay Jazz Night 11th April…

Once again a good crowd came to support the Sole Bay on Thursday night.

A treat again with the second half certainly getting with it, and a great roar on the last number, including a drum solo which everyone loves, well done Craig…we had Roy singing in both the first and second session with his usual happy aplomb … Also two good songs from dear Jenny who is finding her voice again, thanks to them both…

Heida doing her good job behind the bar with the 'bump' which we all think is great…

Great friends, and some more different faces as well as the usual wonderful crowd of fans that support these fine musicians, so thank you all for making it a good night out.

Get better to all those who have either taken a tumble of late and hurt themselves  or are unwell, and well done to see some of you back even if in pain… take more water with it is the usual thing to say, but of course none of those were drinking at the time! so just watch were you are going!

The "photo taker" has decided to try harder as they did not come out to well, but have picked a couple of fairly decent ones, but have no idea what was going on most of the band seem to be standing about thinking ha ha…
But looks like Craig spotted me! a nice smile…A lot of colour with the apparel this week…

Thanks to one and all see you next week…

SOLE BAY JAZZ …

A great night was had by all who went to the Jazz this Thursday evening at the Pavilion…

Nice crowd of people… some I have never seen before…some old faces that have not been for a while…and of course the lovely fans that come to support these talented people each week. Especially as it was such a cold evening…

Nice to see you back Heidi with that lovely bump of yours…

Just hope June finds her fall yesterday will not have any lasting effect,we missed you June,
Les was worried so get better soon…and that goes for all those who are indisposed at the moment…

They all look very serious here, but it was a really good night, Tony did some of the arrangements, and we had a very varied mix of great music so thank you Gentlemen…

Great to hear Ron and Tim together, Craig played some good solos which we so enjoy, Ray the piano playing was really lovely,  and of course Tony and that double bass talks to you and us
Alan as always keeping the beat……

I know I say it a lot but we are so very lucky to have this talent so close to home.  Also of course it is free to come and listen to them, I do not usually mention this but we do have a little raffle with a few prizes, but mainly to help support the band which of course is far better than having to pay for an entrance fee…so thank you those who support that…

Have to thank our Roy as as well for providing the vocals, with his usual panache!

Oh yes Brian what do I have to mention? oh yes the amplification was good this week!!!!
Lovely to see you and the other Brian…

Thanks to everyone for a really good night, look forward to next week.
