Sole Bay Jazz Band 12th January…

Last evening I listened to the weather forecast and got rather worried about driving in my little KA as like me it is getting old! So sadly I did not get to the jazz, cannot remember the last time I missed a night with the Sole Bay Jazz but never mind, because my lovely friend has sent me a brief melee so thanks Fudge.

Her photos are better than mine as well!

" Not many folks at jazz which is a shame…
But Barry sang some songs with his own take on which made for interesting listening,…
Trummy on Trombone (the Euphonium sat on the floor all night) with his excellent sound…
Ray on the Piano great improv as usual.
Alan on guitar and Banjo…Craig on the drums…Tony on the Bass…keeping the back line strong. Tim on Soprano and Tenor Saxophones plus Clarinet making some beautiful sounds…"

So certainly looks as though I missed a great night.

Thank you dear Fudge you are a star…

missed you Heidi x

Sole Bay Jazz and Guests…

Last evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, a good crowd came along to support The Sole Bay Jazz Band, amazing really as it was very cold and icy on the roads, so pleased that so many turned up, and hope everyone got home safely.

A seven man line up, but for me I was a bit put off with all the decision making in between the music, ha ha but you all know me, it is just my opinion, and you also know that I have spent, and do spend, a lot of time promoting these talented Gentlemen! Just did not gel for me at times, however we had some great playing, just a bit of fun missing for me. Although cruel that we did have a giggle when Tony P had to do some lip sync because of microphone failure. sorry Tony you handled it well.

Having said that I know lots of coughs and colds about and well done to those who were under the weather either playing or watching, shows how appreciative you all are to turn out in all weathers.

Thanks to Clover and Chris for doing the raffle, and the 'boys' for folding the tickets…for Heidi behind the bar, lovely to meet up with friends and catch up.

Thanks of course to Alan who every week manages to get us the line up, it is not an easy job.

I took photos but they are not good however will pop them on.

I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year and look forward to some great Thursday nights with the Sole Bay Jazz and friends…

Christmas lunch…

Lovely lunch today with my Son David, sadly my friend could not join with us as she had a fall during the week.

Pudding may have taken 8 hours to make and cook but so yummy it was worth it!

Lovely presents from everyone thank you so much…

I do hope you all had a good day with family and friends…but for those who were alone sending hugs and love.

Not sure yet about the flashing ball!

But mouse taste good!

Did we really eat all that?

Still making Delia's puddings nice and juicy…

Sole Bay Jazz with friends…

Another good night at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham with the Sole Bay Jazz Band Christmas party!

Thanks to Clover and Chris for a lovely raffle, and the pretty head decorations also for Heidi busy behind the bar with her Christmas Jumper.

Loads of food and pretty lights on tables, and nice to see Simon and Kim, sorry Shelia was not able to come. Hope all those who were unwell and not able to come along get better soon …hope to see everyone back in the New Year.

My camera was on a wrong setting but will pop the photos on sorry …and I was not 'with drink' either it was the settings, or maybe it was because of  Tim playing with that bah humbug hat on! after all these years nice to see a happy Tim at Christmas… Fudge and Robin nice hats as well…

Some really good  live music with little bits of Christmas thrown in, great playing and some solos, and a wonderful violin and piano duet with Ray and his daughter, thanks so much for that…tingling hairs at back of neck.

The next live Sole Bay Jazz session at Ditchingham is the 5th of January so hope you all have a wonderful Merry Christmas and  a Healthy Happy New Year.
